Again, I am very happy to announce the next session of Walking the Spiritual Path with Practical Feet: Ten Visionaries Who Make a Difference teleseries on December 14th with Angeles Arrien..The past two, with Meredith Young-Sowers and Mark LeBlanc have been very well received and I know that Angeles’s session will be equally inspirational.  Please note: the session will be from 2 – 3 pm est and not 8 – 9 est. 

Angeles Arrien – “Walking the Mystical Path with Mystical Feet”Thirty years ago, I began doing workshops that I titled “Walking the Mystical Path With Practical Feet”, as a way to address the illusion many of us have, that the internal and external worlds can only be lived or experienced separately. It was my hope, as it is now years later, that we can dissolve the artificial splits or separations that we have created between work and family; personal and professional; mind and heart; body and spirit; internal and external, just to name a few of the primary dualities. Ken Wilbur reminds us in his work, “The Holographic Paradigm and other Paradoxes” that “The transcendental essence of the great religions had as its core the notion of advaita or advaya, non-duality.” This conversation attempts to address the universal processes or life experiences which drive us toward wholeness of being (our natural state); and offers us ways we can hold paradoxes, rather than move into isolation, polarity, or separation, when we face changes or transitions in our lives. Angeles Arrien is a cultural anthropologist, award-winning author, educator, and consultant to many organizations and businesses. She lectures and conducts workshops worldwide, bridging cultural anthropology, psychology, and comparative religions. Her work has been featured on CNN, and is currently used in medical, academic, and corporate environments. Angeles is the President of the Foundation for Cross-Cultural Education and Research. Her books, including The Four-Fold Way, Signs of Life (Winner of the 1993 Benjamin Franklin Award), and The Second Half of Life (Winner of the 2007 Nautilus Award for Best book on Ageing) have been translated into thirteen languages; and she has received three honorary doctorate degrees in recognition of her work. It will be interactive with a chance to engage in conversation. You will be given a number to call- they will be recorded so you can download the session if you can’t attend.

The series began Monday November 2 and will meet every three weeks thereafter, ending May 3rd; all sessions will be from 8 – 9 pm Eastern. (except for December with Angeles Arrien which will be 2 pm Eastern).
