You Make A Difference – Creative Communications Center

Thanks to Ken Shelton, I started writing seriously which ultimately led to Walking the Spiritual Path: Ten Visionaries Who Make A Difference.   I first met Ken at an AMA sponsored Leadership Conference where I was giving a workshop. The standard question in our first meeting: Ken: “Have you written a book?” “No.” “Why not?”  My standard answer: ” Because I don’t have anything to say that someone else hasn’t said better.” “That’s not a good excuse.”

I was used to that. What made Ken different is that I wrote him after the conference and said I thought I would start writing again.  He replied “Great. Why don’t you get your start writing an article for me in my Personal Excellence magazine?” I was delighted. “I’d love to – what do you want me to write about?”  ”Write on anything you want – Hastings pudding and put it in a 1200 word bowl.” The rest is history.

Ken, in addition to his many publications, is a ghost writer for several well known authors including Stephen Covey and The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.
